ABOUT ME

I have spent my full professional career dedicated to supporting other neurodivergent individuals and people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) .

My passion for supporting young people with SEND and neurodivergent conditions stemmed from an early age when supporting children with complex head injuries and physical disabilities. Working with these young people and their families inspired me to advocate and work tirelessly for vulnerable children. In partnership with their families, I assisted with navigating the ever-changing world that we live in whilst preparing the young person for adulthood and independence.

EXPERIENCE

I have more than 10 years experience: providing support to SENCos; supporting the children and young people with writing Education, Health, Care, Needs Assessments (EHCNAs); and ensuring that the provisions and support for the young person are put in place for them. I am able to do this as I have a wealth of experience in SEND and Neurodivergent conditions, having previously been an Assistant Headteacher and Trust Lead SENCo.

I have experience across all Key Stages, having worked in a wide variety of educational settings, both in secondary and primary schools. I have also worked with Local Authorities in the East Midlands and in London to develop SEND provisions across their settings. I have experience in supporting and advising senior leaders, governors and SENCos within schools regarding how to identify areas of development within their SEND provision and subsequently, how to improve.

I have worked with young adults empowering their self-acceptance and ability to celebrate exactly who they are, by supporting their journey to understand the impacts of ADHD on themselves and their relationships. Additionally, I worked with teens to reignite their self-belief and empower them in making choices for themselves and awareness of how other people’s limiting beliefs do not have to become their own, and to encourage re-engagement with their educational journey.

As an experienced and certified SEND specialist I am committed to enhancing, empowering and developing neurodivergent peoples’ lives so that they can achieve their full potential. With lived experience of how ADHD and SEND can impact one’s daily life, I offer a unique, personalised and professional approach to equipping you with the coping strategies to empower you to overcome life’s everyday barriers. Whether you are seeking to enhance your academic performance, improve relationships, manage your time more effectively or to simply embrace your neurodivergence personality, I will be happy to support you on your journey.

As a professional SEND Consultant, I believe in maintaining a positive mindset, creating partnerships with a purpose, and always striving for significant outcomes.
